This downtown Kingston waterfront property was reimagined into a functional and inviting outdoor space, designed to support both daily life and seasonal gatherings. Once a sloped yard with gravel, outdated concrete, and a filled-in pool, the site was fully transformed through a multi-phase process. Natural limestone slab steps now create smooth transitions across the terrain, leading from a refreshed driveway and courtyard to a lakeside firepit framed by stone seating and open views of the marina. Each phase brought clarity and cohesion to the space, with new retaining walls, cedar details, and a flagstone lounge area adding both definition and warmth.

The design carefully balances structure with natural elements, using curves, textures, and native plantings to ground the space within its waterfront setting. Formerly underutilized, the yard now features flatter, more functional zones for parking, lounging, and entertaining—each one seamlessly connected and thoughtfully finished. Attention to detail, from the precision of the no-cut flagstone courtyard to the natural flow of the planting beds, reflects a deep respect for both the homeowners’ vision and the site’s character.
